Manuka Honey Benefits

Diarrhea and Constipation.

In recent years many cases of diarrhea and constipation have been diagnosed as irritable bowel syndrome. Digestive conditions are affecting almost 70 million Americans. The serious epidemic of digestive affections is directly related with poor diet and lifestyle decisions.
As we recently discovered more than 50% of our immune system is found in and around the digestive system.

Our digestive system is operated by what most people call "good" bacteria. Without it we would not function. The "good" bacteria is called probiotics and it’s main purpose is to keep our digestive system running and to fight any problems that might affect our immune system.

The good bacteria in our system is constantly affected by our diet and drug intake. A poor diet comprised of red meat, fats and bad carbohydrates can allow pathogenic organisms to develop in our systems causing heartburn, acid reflux, colitis, irritable bowel syndrome and other even more serious diseases.

The overuse of antibiotics can also destroy the good bacteria in our gut. While meant to treat a different affection, overuse of antibiotics can actually lower out immune system causing also an immunity to antibiotics and a higher risk to more serious diseases.

A high amount of antibiotic can be ingested by consuming meats from animals grown on farms that add antibiotics to the food intake.

Protein from red meat
